HEMA fencing Masks
To avoid head injuries in heavy sparring as well as light sparring we use (modified) fencing masks. Those masks have evolved from fencing masks of Epee, Foil and Sabre and are now have become their own branch for some manufactures.

HEMA Fencing Gloves
Gloves are one of the most important aspect of HEMA. You want to keep your hands protected, because if you do not you might hurt or even worse brake your fingers. That will result in less time to practice with your weapons and you do not want that.

HEMA Fencing Jackets
The jackets you choose is very important. If you want to do longsword you can not use an Olympic fencing jacket you need good and enough padding to make you comfortable with hard hits and trusts.
